The Orange County Convention Center is big enough to have its own geography: two buildings (West and North/South) on opposite sides of International Drive, connected by a pedestrian bridge, with the Rosen convention hotels and dozens of others within walking range.

If you're here for a show, your world shrinks to that pocket — so here's what's actually reachable from it when you need something that isn't on the show floor.

Orienting the pocket

The West Building fronts I-Drive's west side; the North/South Building sits across the street. Rosen Centre and Rosen Plaza connect closest to the action, with Rosen Shingle Creek a shuttle ride away on Universal Boulevard. The Pointe Orlando complex, a short walk north of the West Building, is where attendees default for dinner — that stretch of I-Drive is the walkable part of convention life.

North of Pointe Orlando, I-Drive continues toward ICON Park; south, it heads toward SeaWorld territory. Both directions are rideshare distances, not strolls.

Quick errands, realistically

From the convention area, dedicated retail options spread north along I-Drive and west along Sand Lake Road. Our shop is that direction: north on I-Drive to Sand Lake Road, then east a short distance — a short drive from the West Building.

The honest advice for a packed schedule: skip the trip altogether. What to Look For When You Arrive

From the convention center, take International Drive north to the Sand Lake Road signal and turn right (east); we're on the north (left) side just before Universal Boulevard — a single-story plaza with its own free lot, so a quick between-sessions stop doesn't involve a parking garage.
